The story of Iceberg Diamonds dates back to 1974. It was then that Leonid Shainoha — father of the brand’s current founder — began his journey as a master diamond cutter.
He became one of the pioneering masters at the newly established Crystal plant in Vinnytsia — an enterprise that laid the very foundation of the era's jewelry industry.
Commemorating the 20th anniversary of Vinnytsia's Crystal facility, Leonid Shainoha and his partner Volodymyr Ostapenko reached a definitive milestone of unparalleled mastery.
Working side by side at a single polishing bench, they masterfully cut what was then the world’s smallest diamond — a stone measuring a mere 0.45 mm in diameter.
This achievement became a symbol of ultimate precision, profound expertise, and uncompromising craftsmanship.
In the 2000s, this accumulated expertise expanded onto the international stage.
Establishing our presence within key diamond-producing nations and the African diamond market:
Angola, South Africa, Tanzania, the DRC, Sierra Leone, Botswana, Namibia, Guinea, the Gambia, and Uganda.
A journey spanning the entire lifecycle of a diamond:
from the sourcing of rough diamonds in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
to the founding and launching of diamond cutting facilities in South Africa.
